Energy distribution is at the heart of our operations at MOSL. However, our responsibility doesn’t end with the delivery. We collectively believe that the true measure of success is the positive change we bring to the communities we serve. That’s why our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach focuses on initiatives with lasting social and environmental impact.
Addressing Healthcare Challenges in Rural Ghana
Across many rural areas in Ghana, access to quality healthcare remains a persistent challenge. Communities are often served by under-resourced clinics or, in some cases, have no health facility at all. This means residents must travel long distances to receive even basic medical attention. For pregnant women, the elderly, and those in need of urgent care, these delays can be life-threatening. The gap in healthcare infrastructure not only affects individual health outcomes but also limits the overall well-being and productivity of entire communities.
The New Powmu Community Clinic
It is within this context that MOSL undertook one of our most impactful community impact projects: the construction of a fully equipped 10-bed community clinic in New Powmu, Eastern Region. Valued at $500,000, this facility was designed to close a critical gap in local healthcare provision.
Today, the clinic stands as a lifeline, offering emergency care, maternal health services, and routine medical treatment to hundreds of residents who previously had to endure long and costly trips to access healthcare. By reducing the distance to care, MOSL has helped make health services more accessible, timely, and reliable for the people of New Powmu and surrounding communities.
Environmental Stewardship
Our commitment to environmental stewardship is equally strong. Since 2023, MOSL has been an active participant in the national Green Ghana campaign, planting over 200 trees to combat deforestation and improve local ecosystems. These efforts not only restore green cover but also support biodiversity, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to climate resilience in the communities where we operate.
CSR as a Core Value
CSR for MOSL is not an add-on; it is embedded into the way we do business. We prioritise projects that align with our values, address real needs, and create shared benefits for both people and the environment.
We recognise that the impact of energy goes beyond powering industries. It touches health, education, and environmental well-being. Through strategic CSR projects, we aim to ensure that our growth translates into tangible improvements in people’s lives.
By investing in healthcare, environmental protection, and sustainable community initiatives, we reinforce the vision of MOSL to move energy forward, not just as a business goal, but as a commitment to building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities across Ghana and West Africa.
